The Patriots re-signed free-agent LB and special-teams ace Tracy White on Wednesday, according to multiple reports.
White played in 15 games with one start last season, recording 37 tackles — his highest total since 2004. Injuries thrust White into a more prominent role on the defense than he saw in 2010, his first season in New England.
White started in the team's Super Bowl loss to the Giants and made two tackles.
White's biggest contributions, though, come on special teams, where he led the team with 11 special-teams tackles. On Tuesday, the Pats re-signed another LB and special-teams contributor, Niko Koutouvides.
