Le'Ron McClain has signed with the Chargers, giving them a bigger back to presumably replace free agent Mike Tolbert.
According to multiple reports, McClain signed a three-year deal.
McClain began his career in Baltimore in 2007 and played for the Ravens for four seasons. His most productive campaign came in 2008, when he rushed for 902 yards and 10 touchdowns on 232 carries.
Last season, McClain was with the Chiefs, where he played in 16 games with 10 starts. He had 15 carries for 51 yards and 14 catches for 82 yards.
The Chargers are set to lose Tolbert in free agency, which means McClain will be paired with Ryan Mathews in San Diego's backfield. The Chiefs already found a big back to replace McClain, signing Peyton Hillis earlier today.
