The Bears have signed their second quarterback in as many days, re-signing QB Josh McCown.

McCown was first signed by the Bears on Nov. 23, 2011 following a thumb injury to starter Jay Culter and ineffective play from backup Caleb Hanie. He played in three games for Chicago last season, starting two of them. He completed 63.6 of his passes, throwing two TDs and four interceptions.

Along with Cutler and McCown, the Bears also have QBs Jason Campbell — who was signed on Tuesday — and 2011 rookie Nathan Enderle on their depth chart.

The way we see it

The Bears may not be ready to give up on Enderle, a fifth-round pick last year but he's going to have to prove himself worthy of a roster spot in training camp and might even have to beat out McCown for a chance to stay with the squad.

The coaching staff showed absolutely no confidence in Enderle late last season, and McCown is only serviceable.
