The Raiders have cut TE Kevin Boss, one of the team's top free-agent signings from last offseason.
Last August, Boss signed a four-year, $16 million contract with Oakland, with reportedly $8 million guaranteed. Boss played in 14 games last season with 11 starts, catching 28 passes for 368 yards and three touchdowns.
Boss spent the first four seasons of his career with the Giants and has 21 career scores. The Giants are in need of tight ends, with Jake Ballard and Travis Beckum suffering torn ACLs in the Super Bowl. The Raiders have also cut CBs Chris Johnson and Stanford Routt this offseason.
The Raiders announced the tenders of restricted free-agent DT Desmond Bryant and exclusive-rights free agents DE Mason Brodine, DB Bryan McCann and FB Marcel Reece. The team also confirmed that it had restructured the contract of LB Aaron Curry.
