The Falcons agreed to terms with ex-Seahawks LB Lofa Tatupu, the team announced Saturday afternoon. Atlanta hosted Tatupu for a workout earlier this week.
Tatupu spent six seasons with the Seahawks and has 549 career tackles, 8½ sacks, 35 passes defensed and 10 interceptions. Tatupu reached the Pro Bowl each year from 2005-07.
The Seahawks cut Tatupu before last season. He did not play in the NFL in 2011, as he battled injuries. Tatupu also worked out for the Saints.
Falcons MLB Curtis Lofton is set to be an unrestricted free agent.
