The Texans signed LS Jon Weeks to a contract extension, the team announced on Monday.
According to PFW correspondent and Houston Chronicle writer John McClain, it is a four-year deal worth $2.9 million.
"Glad to have Jon back long-term," said Texans special-teams coordinator Joe Marciano said, according to HoustonTexans.com. "The guy's been a money snapper. He's been consistent, been dependable, reliable and (an) overall good guy."
Weeks has not missed a snap out of 288 in his two seasons with Houston, according to the Texans.
"He hasn't had a snap where we couldn't get the ball off," Marciano said, according to the team's website. "I just looked at punt snaps. He had a few that were maybe a little bit high or a little bit low, but anytime you can snap the ball and the punter don't have to move his feet laterally left or right, they're pretty good snaps. We call that 'keep your punter on line,' so he can hit the target."
Weeks was an exclusive rights free agent.
