The Buccaneers announced Monday that OL Jeremy Zuttah has signed a four-year extension with the team.
"Not only am I happy to remain a Buccaneer, but also to be back playing for Coach (Greg) Schiano," Zuttah said in a statement. The lineman played at Rutgers from 2004-07 under Schiano before he was drafted by the Bucs in 2008. "I couldn't be more thrilled about this opportunity."
Zuttah has played in 55 games since being drafted by the team in 2008, starting 44 of them. Last season, he started 14 games and is versatile, able to play several positions on the offensive line.
"(GM) Mark (Dominik) and I agreed keeping Jeremy on our football team was one of our priorities this offseason," Schiano said. "He is a young, talented player whom we both know very well. We are pleased we could get this deal done and secure Jeremy for years to come."
