New Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin had an explosive tight end in Green Bay in Jermichael Finley. Philbin now joins the same division as Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez and discussed what his offense desires out of the TE position. "In a perfect world, your tight end shows great versatility," Philbin said from the NFL Scouting Combine. "Somebody who can block, somebody who can attack the middle of the field and lastly, a guy that can create some separation." The Dolphins have Anthony Fasano, who had 32-451-5 receiving last season, and the versatile Charles Clay, who had three touchdown catches as a rookie. Neither has the all-around tools to be an elite tight end, but Philbin pointed out that they retained tight ends coach Dan Campbell, adding, "I thought (Fasano and Clay) performed well." Regarding Clay, Philbin said he likes the Tulsa product's versatility and how Clay's jersey number, 31, can help keep defenses off balance since they call plays according to numbers, and Clay can line up anywhere.
