The October 2010 trade between the Bills and Seahawks that sent RB Marshawn Lynch to Seattle came closer to being finalized on Wednesday. It was announced that the Bills will get the Seahawks' fifth-round pick as compensation for the running back.

Originally, the trade sent Lynch in exchange for a fourth-round pick in 2011 (used on OT Chris Hairston) and a conditional sixth-round pick in 2012. The selection was changed to a fifth-rounder, as Lynch surpassed playing-time benchmarks that were involved in the deal. Buffalo will find out where in the round it selects after a coin flip between the Seahawks and Chiefs determines who picks 11th and who picks 12th in each round of the NFL draft.

Lynch is set to be a free agent after a terrific season for the Seahawks, where he ran for a career-high 1,204 yards and scored 13 touchdowns.
