The Seahawks have re-signed OL Breno Giacomini to a two-year contract before he could hit the free-agent market.

According to the NFL Players Association's website, Giacomini will earn $1.5 million in base salary in 2012 and $3 million in 2013. He earned $600,000 in base salary this past season. With four years of NFL service, Giacomini would have become an unrestricted free agent in March.

Giacomini appeared in 15 games in 2011, with eight starts, playing a number of different positions. He committed nine penalties, one of which was declined, and, according to STATS LLC, allowed two sacks.
