The Texans hired Karl Dorrell as their new quarterbacks coach, replacing Greg Knapp, according to PFW correspondent and Houston Chronicle writer John McClain.

Dorrell spent the last four seasons with the Dolphins. From 2008 to 2010, he was Miami's wide receivers coach. 2011 was his first year as the team's quarterbacks coach.

Dorrell joined Miami after five years as UCLA's head coach. Knapp left Houston to become the Raiders' new offensive coordinator.
