The Ravens have named Dean Pees their defensive coordinator, following Chuck Pagano's departure to become the Colts' head coach. The team also announced that Cam Cameron will stay on as offensive coordinator.

Pees had been Baltimore's linebackers coach the past two seasons. Prior to that, he was the defensive coordinator for the Patriots form 2006-09.

"It's an incredible opportunity to be a defensive coordinator for anybody in this league, but it's especially humbling to be one for the Ravens," Pees told the Ravens' website. "I'm not going to be the same as Chuck Pagano. You got to be who you are."

As for Cameron, head coach John Harbaugh believed the progress made by the offense in reaching the AFC championship game was enough to keep the veteran coordinator on staff.

"Cam has been our offensive coordinator, will continue to be our offensive coordinator," Harbaugh said. "I think our coaches did a tremendous job this year."
