The Patriots and Ravens released their inactives for Sunday's AFC championship game and WR Chad Ochocinco is among them.

Ochocinco, QB Ryan Mallett, RB Stevan Ridley, RB Shane Vereen, LB Gary Guyton, ORT Sebastian Vollmer and OG Donald Thomas are the Patriots' inactives.

For the Ravens, RB Anthony Allen, LBs Josh Byrnes and Sergio Kindle, CB Chykie Brown, WR Tandon Doss, OG/C Justin Boren and NT Brandon McKinney are inactive.

Ochocinco, who played in only one offensive snap in last week's win over the Broncos, was reportedly in the Miami area on Saturday for his father's funeral, but he did return to Foxborough. Ridley had a fumble in last week's game. Vollmer (back, foot) has not played since Week 12. He was listed as questionable.

There are no surprises among the Ravens' inactives. S Ed Reed (ankle) practiced all week and was listed as probable.

The way we see it

Ochocinco and Ridley are the big surprises on the Patriots' list. Losing Ochocinco on offense shouldn't affect the team's production much, and considering the Ravens' physicality on defense, Bill Belichick likely didn't want Ridley in there after last week's fumble.

With Ochocinco out, expect to see more Julian Edelman and Tiquan Underwood at wideout, and Danny Woodhead will get more snaps at running back alongside BenJarvus Green-Ellis.
