Life goes on for the Dolphins.

After veteran head coach Jeff Fisher chose the Rams rather than the Dolphins, Miami is moving on. The Dolphins interviewed Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy for their head-coaching job on Monday, the team confirmed.

McCoy helped lead an innovative Denver offense, that more resembled a college offense at times with its option-based attack. Under his watch, the Broncos led the league with 164.5 rushing yards per game, and QB Tim Tebow became a national star.

However, the Broncos' offense did look awfully cold at times, and overall, Denver finished just 25th in the league with 19.3 points per game.

According to NFL Network's Jason La Canfora, Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer also could be en route to Miami, for a second meeting, after he had a strong first interview. The Bengals surrendered the seventh-fewest yards per game in the NFL in 2011.
