Broncos LS Lonie Paxton will miss Saturday night's playoff game against the Patriots. He has been dealing with a family issue and did not practice the past three days.

Paxton had one errant snap all season. He has played in every game in each of his three seasons with Denver. He was the Patriots' long-snapper from 2000-08.

ORG Chris Kuper used to be the team's backup long-snapper, but he is on injured reserve, which means OL Russ Hochstein, Kuper's replacement on the O-line and another former Patriot, likely will be the long-snapper. The Broncos did host long-snappers Andrew Schulze and Jason Kyle for tryouts on Thursday.

WR Eric Decker (knee) was also ruled out. SS Brian Dawkins is doubtful.
