Ravens DT Haloti Ngata believes NT Terrence Cody has shown improvement in his first year as a starter in the interior of the Ravens' line. "I think he started off a little slow just because he was a starter and wasn't used to playing a full football game," Ngata said of the 6-4, 349-pound Cody, who backed up Kelly Gregg as a rookie. "But seeing him now, he knows how to use his strength, when to use it. Now he's better with staying on his feet and not getting cut off on the back side. He's not overshooting the gap and making sure he's doing his job right. He's grown so much totally as a football player, and he's going to be a force to reckon with in years to come." Cody, 23, notched 34 tackles and started all 16 games in the regular season. The Ravens have been stout vs. the run, allowing just 3.5 yards a carry (No. 2 in NFL), and opponents have not had much success rushing up the middle this season.
