Michigan State RB Edwin Baker, who rushed for 665 yards and five scores as a junior, will enter the 2012 NFL draft.
Baker told The Associated Press that one of the reasons he is leaving early is to avoid suffering an injury during his senior season.
Baker split carries with Le'Veon Bell in 2011. As a sophomore in 2010, Baker rushed for 1,201 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Baker's teammate, DT Jerel Worthy, declared for the draft on Thursday.
