If the Steelers are going to return to the Super Bowl, it will be without RB Rashard Mendenhall.

Mendenhall tore the ACL in his right knee in Sunday's win over the Browns. According to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, there is no other damage to the knee and surgery will take place in 1-2 weeks.

Mendenhall rushed for 928 yards and nine touchdowns in 15 games this season. Isaac Redman replaced Mendenhall in Sunday's game and had 19 carries for 92 yards and a score. However, he also lost two fumbles. The team also has Mewelde Moore and John Clay at running back.

Pittsburgh plays at Denver in the wild-card round of the playoffs.
