The Cowboys-Giants regular-season finale on Sunday night earned the best overnight rating in the six-year history of "Sunday Night Football" on NBC.

The 17.1 overnight was the best overnight for any Sunday or Monday prime-time game in 13 years and was up 36 percent from last year's Seahawks-Rams finale.

The Giants beat the Cowboys 31-14 to win the NFC East.
