PFW executive editor and resident Packers expert Dan Arkush selects Green Bay's players of the week on offense, defense and special teams in the team's 45-41 Week 17 victory over the Lions.

Offense: QB Matt Flynn

Making his second pro start in place of Aaron Rodgers, Flynn was sensational, solidifying his likely status as the most attractive free agent available this offseason with a record-shattering performance. Flynn's six touchdowns and 480 yards were both franchise records. Matching Matthew Stafford pass for pass in a shootout of massive proportions (1,000 yards passing and 11 TDs combined), Flynn's four-yard TD pass to TE Jermichael Finley with 1:10 remaining, which was set up by a beautiful 40-yard pass down the right sideline to James Jones, was the game-winning score.

Defense: CB Sam Shields

Defense was definitely an afterthought on Sunday for both teams, but Shields gets the nod for his game-clinching interception of a pass intended for Lions WR Nate Burleson at the Packers' 20-yard line with 25 seconds remaining.

Special teams: S M.D. Jennings

The undrafted rookie had two of the Packers' six special-teams tackles.
