Cowboys add QB, change punters

On the eve of their make-or-break game for the NFC East title on Sunday night, the Cowboys made a pair of roster moves.

P Mat McBriar was placed on injured reserve after injuring his left foot. McBriar has a net average of 36.1 yards per punt this season. He was replaced on the roster by Chris Jones, who was promoted from the practice squad. Jones punted for Dallas in Week Nine when McBriar was hurt.

The team also released OG Daniel Loper and signed QB Chris Greisen from its practice squad. Greisen, a 35-year-old who hasn't thrown a pass in the NFL since 2000, is insurance in case Tony Romo's hand is still bruised.
