Bengals RB Cedric Benson has had a productive season, breaking the 1,000-yard mark for a third consecutive campaign. However, he's an unrestricted free agent at season's end, and it will be interesting to see if the Bengals want to keep the 29-year-old tailback — or whether the relationship, after four seasons, has run its course. Tough and dependable, Benson could appeal to clubs looking for a between-the-tackles grinder and would figure to rate as one of the more desirable free-agent runners available, though he does have a history of off-field issues. If Benson departs, the Bengals would look to add a back in the draft or free agency. The Bengals have an extra first-round pick in 2012, which adds to their Draft Day flexibility. Cincinnati could also look to add a proven veteran in free agency, but that can be an expensive and risky proposition.
