Team insiders tell us the Seahawks couldn't be more pleased with their situation at outside linebacker, where rookie K.J. Wright and veteran Leroy Hill have greatly exceeded expectations on the strong side and weak side, respectively. "You knew K.J. was special when (LB coach) Ken Norton raved about his intangibles and the fact he never had to tell him anything more than once," one daily team observer said of Wright, a fourth-round pick out of Mississippi State who made former first-round pick Aaron Curry expendable. "As for Leroy, talk about a resurgence! He's done everything well, playing in the nickel, dropping into coverage. It's almost like discovering another find like Wright or (undrafted rookie WR) Doug Baldwin. Leroy has told me more than once that he just can't believe players like (LBs) Lofa Tatupu and Curry are gone, and he ends up being the guy who is still around."
