Dolphins RB Reggie Bush has been ruled out for the Week 17 regular-season finale against the Jets with a knee injury.
Bush hurt the knee in last Saturday's game against the Patriots. He finishes the 2011 season with career-high marks across the board in terms of rushing, with 216 carries for 1,086 yards and six touchdowns. He added 43 receptions for 296 yards.
Rookie RB Daniel Thomas, who has been quiet this season, will likely get the start and get a lot of touches. He has 153 carries for 553 yards this season. He had 15 carries for 47 yards and a catch for 12 yards in the Week Six game against the Jets.
The Jets need a win against Miami and help to make the playoffs.
