Will Rams first-round DE Robert Quinn move into the starting lineup in 2012 after playing roughly half the snaps in most games this season behind starters Chris Long and James Hall? "Any kind of roles will depend on the coaching situation, but with Hall still playing pretty well with a year left on his contract, I could see Quinn continuing to rotate in next season," one team insider said. "I'd say Quinn played pretty good and showed some real flashes. He did not make as big an impact as a lot of rookies this year like Aldon Smith, Ryan Kerrigan and Sam Acho, but you have to factor in that the Rams rarely had leads and were seldom in pass-rushing situations." In spite of limited opportunities, Quinn entered the season finale tied with Hall for second on the team in sacks with five and second on the team in QB hits with 12. "But he needs to get a lot more consistent vs. the run," the insider said.
