The NFL announced the rosters for the 2012 Pro Bowl, which will be played on Jan. 29 in Honolulu.

No team had more players chosen than the Patriots and 49ers, who each had eight. Five of the eight New England selections were offensive players, while five of the 49ers chosen line up on defense. The Packers and Ravens each had seven players make the rosters.

There were three rookies selected, but not top overall draft pick and Rookie of the Year favorite Cam Newton. Instead, Bengals WR A.J. Green, Broncos OLB Von Miller and Cardinals KR-PR Patrick Peterson are the first-year players going.

The only teams with no Pro Bowlers are the Bills, Titans, Redskins and Rams.

Among the notable players who didn't make the rosters were Lions QB Matthew Stafford, Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch and Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez.
