Giants' TE injuries starting to mount

The Giants have been a bit thin at tight end all season, even with the breakout year by starter Jake Ballard. With Ballard out for the Jets game with a knee injury, the rest of the group also finds itself less than 100 percent. Travis Beckum (chest) and Bear Pascoe (ribs) are fighting through injuries and will do their best to contribute. Although neither is an exceptional player, they both are important, if not limited contributors. If Pascoe, the better blocker of the two, can't go then the expectation is that the Giants will use two backup tackles, Jim Cordle and Tony Ugoh, as extra blockers. Both players have lined up as tight ends this season and Cordle especially has done a respectable job. Another way to compensate is to use more sets involving rookie FB Henry Hynoski. He is healthier now and has done a nice job when called upon, even though he's not terribly gifted or experienced as a receiver.
