Jets OLB Calvin Pace was fined $15,000 by the NFL for his illegal hit on Eagles QB Michael Vick in Week 15.

Pace hit Vick as he threw a 26-yard TD to Brent Celek. Pace was flagged for roughing the passer. He told reporters Thursday that he planned to appeal the fine.

Pace told ESPNNewYork.com that he did not read the letter, just "saw $15,000 and threw it in the trash."
