With CFL product Brandon Browner and fifth-round rookie Richard Sherman doing such a good job down the stretch replacing injured starters Marcus Trufant and Walter Thurmond, could the Seahawks consider cutting some cornerbacks this coming offseason? "And don't forget (sixth-round rookie) Byron Maxwell," added one daily team observer regarding the team's sudden crowd at cornerback. "He's another long-armed, aggressive, physical corner that they really like." The best guess is that Browner and Sherman will have the upper hand entering next season over Thurmond, who has suffered two major injuries the past three years, and Trufant, who could become the odd man out. "It's probably too early to rule Trufant out, but he's getting up there in years, and they now have other guys that can play," the observer said. "Before, it was always, 'OK, we've got Marcus and who else?' "
