The Ravens announced Wednesday that they have signed PK Shayne Graham to their 53-man roster. To make room for Graham, Baltimore placed rookie OLB Chavis Williams (foot) on injured reserve.
Graham is an 11-year veteran who has seen action in 138 career games, including two this season with the Dolphins. He was released from the team on Nov. 30 after filling in for an injured Dan Carpenter.
Graham has converted 212-of-247 (85.8 percent) of his career FG attempts. In his two contests with Miami this season, he was 4-for-5 on FG attempts and 6-for-6 on PATs.
Graham has also spent time on the active rosters of the Giants (2010), Patriots (2010), Bengals (2003-09), Panthers (2002) and Bills (2001). He originally signed with New Orleans as an undrafted free agent in 2000.
The way we see it
PK Billy Cundiff has a left calf injury and has been off form for several weeks, making only 2-of-5 FG attempts the past three weeks. He has missed nine FG attempts on the season. Adding Graham this early in the week could mean that Cundiff will get at least one week of rest.
