The Patriots announced Wednesday they have signed veteran S Vincent Fuller. Terms of the contract were not announced.
Fuller, a seventh-year veteran, played played his first six seasons with the Titans, who took him in the fourth round of the 2005 NFL draft. He was released before the season and signed with Detroit on Oct. 6. He injured his elbow in a game on Oct. 10 and was played on injured reserve. He was removed from I.R. when the team released him on Dec. 6.
The 6-1, 192-pound Fuller has played in 76 NFL games with five starts and has registered 163 total tackles and six interceptions with four of them returned for touchdowns.
