Bears rookie OT Gabe Carimi will undergo surgery on his right knee that will require about four months to rehabilitate.

According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, the decision has been made to have a procedure to strengthen and tighten Carimi's knee. He had arthroscopic surgery on the knee on Nov. 11 and was placed on injured reserve Nov. 18.

Carimi, the team's first-round pick, suffered the injury in Week Two against the Saints. The Wisconsin alum started at right tackle the first two games of the season.
