PFW associate editor Dan Parr makes his prediction for the outcome of Sunday's game between the Seahawks and Bears.
Following a turbulent week for the franchise, the Bears will have to overcome adversity to get a win Sunday. The franchise was stunned earlier this week by the federal drug charges made against WR Sam Hurd, who was waived Friday, and the Bears have lost three in a row.
With their playoff hopes dwindling, they will be without injured QB Jay Cutler and RB Matt Forté again vs. the Seahawks.
The Bears have delivered for head coach Lovie Smith with their backs against the wall before, but they have come up just short each of the past three weeks. Expect a similar outcome Sunday.
Defensively, the Bears should be able to keep the Seahawks in check, but, without Cutler, Chicago's offense has yet to prove it can produce enough points to win even low-scoring games. Against an opportunistic Seahawks defense that has more interceptions (17) than touchdown passes allowed (16) this season, count on a turnover or two from QB Caleb Hanie and a fourth straight loss for the Bears.
Prediction: Seahawks 16, Bears 12
Season record: 10-3
