Here are some of the Patriots' fantasy football options this week:

RB Danny Woodhead (abdomen) was the team's leading rusher in Week 14, posting 8-41-0, but if that's the leading rusher, it tells you why BenJarvus Green-Ellis (5-19-0), as the goal-line back, is the only RB of value. The Patriots' backfield is boom or bust if they don't score a TD.

RB Shane Vereen (hamstring) was inactive in Week 14 but as stated, Green-Ellis is the only RB with fantasy value on the Patriots. Vereen has missed back-to-back games and has been limited this week.

WR Deion Branch had no catches and only two targets before exiting with a groin injury. He has been limited so far this week and the Patriots keep things close to the vest regarding injuries. Make sure you have someone to replace him with if he can't go. Look for a game-day decision.

TE Aaron Hernandez could be the receiver who steps up if Branch can't play. Hernandez, who is a de facto receiver with his ability to play out of the slot and his speed in the open field, could surprise this week for fantasy owners.

TE Rob Gronkowski was masterful in Week 14, catching 6-160-2 on 10 targets and breaking the single-season record for TDs by a tight end with 15. He has scored four total TDs the past two weeks. He's not only the best TE in the league the past four weeks but the best wide receiver, as well, in leagues that use both WR and TEs as one position.
