The NFL upheld its one-game suspension for Steelers OLB James Harrison, league spokesman Greg Aiello announced Friday.

Harrison was suspended for his helmet-to-helmet hit on Browns QB Colt McCoy last Thursday night. Ted Cottrell heard Harrison's appeal on Wednesday.

This was Harrison's fifth illegal hit on a quarterback in the past three seasons. With the Steelers playing at San Francisco on Monday night, he is not allowed to practice with the Steelers or be at the team facility or stadium until Tuesday.

Harrison has 52 tackles, eight sacks and two forced fumbles this season.
