Though the Broncos' defense is filled with young players, their secondary is packed with experience. Champ Bailey, in his 13th season in the league, mans one corner spot, while Andre' Goodman, in his 10th year, handles the other. However, we hear it is SS Brian Dawkins, who is playing his in his 16th NFL season, who is the undisputed leader of the unit.

A team insider said that it is the hard-hitting Dawkins, who has played in all 13 games this season, is as aggressive off the field as he is on it. While all three veterans give words of advice to their younger teammates, it is the safety who takes charge in the locker room to help correct mistakes.

"Dawkins demands the respect of everyone," the insider said. "He will get in people's face when he needs to, but that's because he wants them to improve."
