The Packers made a couple of practice-squad maneuvers Thursday, signing FB Jon Hoese and releasing OG Jake Vermiglio.

Hoese, a 6-2, 238-pound rookie out of the University of Minnesota, signed with Green Bay on July 28 as an undrafted free agent and played in all four preseason games for the Packers. A four-year letterman for the Gophers, he appeared in 41 games with 17 starts during his career.
