Suffolk County prosecutors dropped charges against Patriots WR Julian Edelman. The third-year pro was accused of groping a woman at a nightclub in November.

Prosecutors said that they "would not be able to meet is burden at trial of proving each of the elements of indecent assault and battery beyond a reasonable doubt," according to the document filed in court today, the Boston Globe reported.

Edelman has only three catches this season and recently has been contributing on defense. He is the team's primary punt returner.
