Here's a recap of notable contributions from Browns rookies in Cleveland's 14-3 defeat at Pittsburgh on Thursday:
DE Jabaal Sheard — Credited with one tackle vs. Pittsburgh. He's had a productive rookie season, notching 45 tackles, 5½ sacks and five forced fumbles in 13 starts.
DT Phil Taylor — Notched one tackle vs. the Steelers. Like Sheard, he's started every game on the defensive line. Taylor has recorded 49 tackles and four sacks.
WR Greg Little — Caught two passes for 25 yards (six targets). A third-down drop early in the fourth quarter forced the Browns to punt from deep in their own end of the field. Little leads the Browns in receptions (52 — second among NFL rookies) and yards (538).
OLG Jason Pinkston — Made his 13th start at left guard. The Browns rushed for 17 yards off eight carries off left guard vs. Pittsburgh.
FB Owen Marecic — Played as a reserve but suffered his second concussion of the season.
CB Buster Skrine — With RS Joshua Cribbs leaving with a groin injury, Skrine took over as the kickoff returner, with his lone return going for 17 yards.
LS Christian Yount — Appeared in his second game as the Browns' snapper.
DT Kiante Tripp — Played as a reserve, recorded no statistics.
LB Quinton Spears — Inactive. He's missed three games in a row after suffering a hamstring injury.
CB James Dockery — Played as a reserve, recorded no statistics.
OLB Benjamin Jacobs — Played as a reserve, recorded no statistics, but was on the field for the Browns' fourth-down stop of RB Rashard Mendenhall, and he played a supporting role on the play.
TE Jordan Cameron — Inactive.
