The Vikings made a roster move at receiver, placing seventh-rounder Steven Burton on injured reserve and replacing him with Emmanuel Arceneaux.
Burton was twice elevated from the practice squad to the 53-man roster before suffering what appears to be an MCL injury in Sunday's loss to the Lions. Head coach Leslie Frazier said Burton is not expected to need surgery.
Arceneaux was a star in the CFL the past two seasons but struggled to adapt to the NFL game in training camp. Frazier expects a different player now than the one he saw in August.
"We don't feel like we'll have any issues with him understanding our offense and what's expected of him, and his work ethic has been so good," Frazier said. "We think he'll be a plus for us. He's an excellent blocker, has good hands, has pretty decent speed. But his work ethic is one thing we'll really appreciate once we get him up on the 53."
