Jaguars interim head coach Mel Tucker's head-coaching debut didn't go as planned — Jacksonville was blown out by the Chargers in front of a national audience — but the result was somewhat predictable with Jacksonville's overmatched cornerbacks being exploited by San Diego's passing attack. We hear what was more worrisome was a lack of urgency from QB Blaine Gabbert and the offense after falling behind in the second half. One of the biggest issues under former head coach Jack Del Rio was an inability to successfully operate in a two-minute drill, so Tucker's unwillingness to pick up the tempo was disappointing, the way we hear it. One issue Tucker did address was the lack of production behind RB Maurice Jones-Drew. Backup Deji Karim, also the team's primary kick returner, was deactivated. Karim has regressed in his second season and it will be interesting to see how he responds to the demotion.
