There was a lot of talk prior to the Week 13 battle against the Giants with first place on the line in the division about the improved maturity of WR Dez Bryant. For most of the season, the coaches have praised Bryant for his work ethic, his focus and his lack of off-field distractions. He also has improved as a player and clearly has the trust of QB Tony Romo, who has thrown to Bryant in key situations at the end of games. The second-year receiver still has room for growth — something he freely has admitted, which is a pleasant development — but the signs are there that he is taking his career seriously. There were major concerns and red flags about Bryant's focus and maturity leading up to this season, but he has settled his civil court cases and avoided further trouble since then. Still, the coaches believe that Bryant's game has room to expand, as seen by his one career 100-yard game.
