With DT Ndamukong Suh's two-game suspension upheld, the focus turns to who will step up to replace him. Rookie DT Nick Fairley, who has missed five games because of a foot injury and has appeared in the other six contests as a reserve, notching six tackles, figures to play more. So does veteran Sammie Hill, with Andre Fluellen also in line to potentially get more snaps inside. How the Lions replace Suh could be a series-to-series proposition, the way we hear it, with some sentiment that if one of the tackles steps up, he will get the bulk of the playing time. Head coach Jim Schwartz indicated Fairley is coming along well and has been able to contribute more lately. Said Schwartz: "When he's been in the game, he affects the game. He's not a guy that just goes in there and just makes 11. He's been good, but particularly with where we are this week, we need him to step up and make some plays for us."
