First, the good news regarding the Niners' WR corps: Michael Crabtree is finally living up to his first-round billing. "He's been everything you want," one team insider said of Crabtree, who had his share of issues his first couple of seasons with the Niners. "He's fearless and has become an absolutely great blocker. He has those really quick hands, he can go up and get jump balls and is just a terrific route runner." Too bad the team doesn't have a dependable No. 2 wideout — a shortcoming that could hurt it down the stretch. Since Josh Morgan was lost for the season back in October, neither Braylon Edwards, who has been plagued by both knee and shoulder injuries, nor Ted Ginn Jr., who has been wildly inconsistent, has been able to offer a badly needed complement to Crabtree. We hear Kyle Williams, who has Wes Welker-like qualities, could get more of a shot at filling the No. 2 bill.
