The NFL-NFLPA appeals officer Art Shell notified Lions DT Ndamukong Suh on Friday that his appeal of a two-game suspension has been denied.
Suh received the suspension from NFL VP Merton Hanks earlier in the week for Suh's actions in the Lions' Thanksgiving Day loss to the Packers. Suh stomped on Packers OL Evan Dietrich-Smith.
Lions president Tom Lewand released the following statement: "We respect the disciplinary process. Obviously, today's ruling does not impact our preparations for this week's game. We remain exclusively focused on the New Orleans Saints."
This was Suh's fifth on-field violation in his two seasons in the NFL. He will forfeit two game checks ($165,000). The 2010 Defensive Rookie of the Year will miss his team's games against the Saints in Week 13 and the Vikings in Week 14.
