Here is a look at how the Patriots' first-year players performed in the team's Week 12 win over the Eagles.

OT Nate Solder (first round, 17th overall) — Solder again played a critical role for the offense and showed his versatility. He played in 19 snaps as an extra tight end, according to ESPN Boston, and played 18 of those in the first half. He spent the second half at right tackle for Sebastian Vollmer and could return to the starting role this weekend if Vollmer can't go.

RB Shane Vereen (2, 56) — With a big lead, Vereen was able to get some carries, finishing with seven rushes for 18 yards and a long of eight. He continues to flash his speed. Vereen also was back for kickoff returns but didn't return any.

RB Stevan Ridley (3, 72) — Ridley has not been effective running the football since his early success. He had four rushes for four yards in the win, with a long of six yards.

OT Marcus Cannon (5, 138) — Cannon got an opportunity late in the game to play tackle, as the Patriots had the game in hand.

DB Sterling Moore (undrafted) — Moore played in 64 of the 73 defensive snaps in the win, mostly at safety, and played some cornerback late in the game. Moore finished with two tackles.

NotesQB Ryan Mallett (3, 73) was inactive. ... LB Jeff Tarpinian (undrafted) was placed on injured reserve last week. ... LS Danny Aiken (undrafted) was perfect on snaps.
