Saints QB Drew Brees, Redskins CB DeAngelo Hall and Cardinals CB-PR Patrick Peterson were named NFC Players of the Week for Week 12.

Brees dissected the Giants' defense for 363 passing yards and four passing touchdowns and added a rushing touchdown in the Saints' 49-24 shellacking Monday night. Brees now has 27 career games of at least 350 passing yards, tying him with Dan Marino for the most in league history. This is his 14th career player of the week award.

One week after publicly saying the Redskins should cut him because of his performance, Hall had an interception, six passes defensed and five tackles in the team's 23-17 win over the Seahawks. His interception sealed the victory with less than one minute remaining and the Seahawks driving. This is his second career player of the week award.

Peterson had an 80-yard punt-return touchdown in the Cardinals' 23-20 win over the Rams. The return was his fourth punt-return TD of at least 80 yards, a NFL record. This is the second time this season Peterson has been named player of the week.
