Despite sustaining a concussion in Week 12 vs. the Chiefs, Steelers SS Troy Polamalu will apparently be able to play this upcoming Sunday against the Bengals.
Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday that "all things are positive" regarding the All-Pro defensive back's status. Polamalu is free of concussion symptoms, according to the coach.
Polamalu was kneed in the head by Chiefs OL Steve Maneri while making a tackle and left the game in the first quarter. He apparently was dizzy for a few seconds but recovered and could have re-entered the game, if needed. However, the Steelers are being extra careful with Polamalu, as this was the second time this season he has left a game because of a head injury.
