The Bears' rookie class didn't have much of a presence in Sunday's loss to the Raiders.
FS Chris Conte made his sixth-straight start, but he completely whiffed on an open-field tackle attempt in the second quarter, helping clear the way for FB Marcel Reese to gain 47 yards off a screen pass. That long gain set up a field goal, and Conte and CB Tim Jennings were beaten on a 47-yard pass play to WR Louis Murphy in the fourth quarter. Raiders RB Michael Bush ran for a three-yard touchdown — the decisive score of the day — on the next play. Conte was credited with five tackles.
Undrafted rookie WR Dane Sanzenbacher hasn't made a catch since Week Seven, but he did make a tackle in Week 12, stopping Raiders FS Michael Huff after his 24-yard return of QB Caleb Hanie's second interception of the game in the first quarter.
DT Stephen Paea, the Bears' second-round pick this year, was active and saw time in the rotation at nose tackle, but didn't show up on the stat sheet.
QB Nathan Enderle, Chicago's fifth-rounder, was active for the first time in his career Sunday. He was the primary backup to Caleb Hanie, but Enderle did not play.
