Jets make change at safety

The Jets have promoted S Tracy Wilson from their practice squad and released S Emanuel Cook.

Wilson, who went undrafted out of Northern Illinois last April, has never played in an NFL game. Head coach Rex Ryan called him, "possibly the hardest-working guy on this team" when announcing the news on Monday.

Cook mainly is a special-teams player for the Jets. He has five tackles on the season, all on special teams, and did recover a fumbled squib kick in the team's Week 12 victory over the Bills.
